I'm back
Hi, I'm back. I'm sure all my readers missed me like hell (hihihihiiiii, I haven't got a single comment on any of my sites ever, no big deal). Any way, had a surgery a month ago, nothing serious, thank heavens I'm healthy enough to withstand a knife cut and its post effects, I was almost back on my feet after three days and in a week I was driving my car stitched and all. I only had a single surgery before, to remove my wisdom teeth, I had it and left the hospital the same day. This one made me stay in for three days. That was the experiment, now to the conclusions:1- Don't believe every thing the doctors do is right, even if they're known to be the best in their field, they've never been their own patients, some times it's all theories. For the three days I stayed in the hospital they kept me on a very high surgical bed claiming that this will make the wound heel better and make me feel better at the same time, the shmucks, it was agony every time I had to get up, go to the bathroom, or just descend from the bed to walk around a little, my sister practically had to lift me each time I had to get out of bed, as soon as I got back to my house and to my own room and my normally-elevated bed I was moving around like usual going around the house on my own and feeding the cat and my self. I recall at this point a movie by William Hurt (who is one of my favorite actors looks and talent) it was called "Doctor". It was about the arrogance of doctors in a public hospital and their absolute neglect for the emotional side when treating a patient. Hurt played one doctor who's prospective of medical treatment changed completely after he his self got seriously ill with a tumor in his throat and spent a long time trying to get well again. The affect of his illness on his relation with his immediate family and the hospital crew, even the ones who he used to consider them as close friends, changed him completely, as a doctor and also as a human being, so much that when he received a new "batch" of interns, he compelled them to play the parts of patients with all the medical treatment or lack of it, pills, laying helpless in bed and all the works. I remembered that movie when I got home. U don't really know it till u try it.
2- Don't ever take things for granted. Another incident I remembered, but this one was while in the hospital. Some times I watch CBS news on MBC4 late at night, actually I don't remember exactly when I watched that piece, anyway, there was that American male nurse who raped female patients immediately after surgery while still under the effect of drugs. After my surgery, I discovered all kinds of tubes coming out of my body; it was still cold at that time so heavy covers were used. All nurses were professional as normal, they did their job quietly and professionally, and if there was any need to raise the covers to change something, they did without exposing me at all, except for that one, she didn't do any thing at all each time she entered the room but raise the covers completely from above me and just look. It happened first the same night after the surgery while I was half drugged, she raised the covers very little and peeked, actually I wasn't aware of any thing, I thought she was checking the operation and that's the end of it. Next morning in she came again, it was early my sister was still asleep but it doesn't show to who ever enters the room cause her bed was vertical to the door and she laid her head opposite to the door, so there was no telling whether she was asleep, that "nurse" reached my bed, stood for a second then walked back towards the door, she stopped than turned back, this time she uncovered me completely and asked me to "open up" for her!! Can any one imagine that! What was she looking for exactly! All the tubes were well inside me, nothing needed checking at all, nothing would've moved to be checked on. I asked her why more than once but she kept asking me so sweetly and nicely. Her being a nurse, and my being in my weakest phases having my first surgery in my whole life only a night ago, I reluctantly did, she peeked and returned the covers then left the room, she did nothing, checked nothing, just peeked and left. It took me a few minutes to realize what just happened and loose my head, I shouted waking my sister up, telling her to get me my slacks, I pulled that thing out of me, which I was told after wards by the doctor as I was telling him what happened, was dangerous. I wore my clothes and made my sister help me stand up to go to the bathroom. What shows that my doubts were real was what she did when her shift came that night. For the third time, but this time my sister was present, she completely lifted the coves, still with no reason at all, when she found that I wore pants, she looked disappointedly and commented "she wore pants?" that's when I snapped at her and grabbed the covers angrily from her hand and covered my self and told her " don't left the covers from above me until u tell me so" she left the room without a comment. So, the point is, don't take any thing for granted, she is a nurse, and that's her cover, she is a woman, but she could be a lesbian. No matter how secure a place u think u r in, there will always be some one who would be evil.
