Foot ball addiction

It's a good thing the Ahly football teem lost that last game. It's not that because I'm a Zamalek fan since childhood, actually I lost interest in football long time ago, but as ever, I don't change sides easily, and it's not as one newspaper wrote as a headline on its front page that the irrogant Ahly lost, that's just plain cruel and vindictive, actually my heart was broken seeing the pictures of the players crying. The reason I'm glad the team lost though I my self wanted them to win, is because it would leave people sober, at least for a while, from their football addiction. It deprived the royal family from standing there in the stadium and waving to their subjects so proudly of the "national achievement" in this era of "great achievements" as if they're gonna feed the people footballs or propaganda, or redirect the country's crooked policy, inside and outside, by winning a football match. Let the addicts sober up a little from that drug they've been fed for a long time and take a good look at the chaos surrounding them, maybe they'd do something about it and try to save the little that's left.
